Make a Donation To Camp H.O.P.E. 2011
As you all know, ALW conducts a very special learning experience every year by bringing 12-15 underprivileged Appalachian kids to an all-expenses paid, week-long summer environmental camp in Kentucky. The week is full of environmental education experiences, outdoor adventure, guest speakers, self-esteem building and just plain fun! For some of these kids, the week at camp is truly life-changing.

[01.03.2011] - We received a few letters in response to our recent
S.A.N.T.A. Project from Estill Springs Family Resource Center and Reading Camp. Read these incredible messages below.
"I wanted to let you know how excited I was to see all of the toys and other items that were delivered to our school. It was awesome!! My families really enjoyed selecting their own Christmas gifts for each child. I encouraged them to take several gifts, and each one was so very thankful. Many replied that their kids usually received very little, but through your kindness they would now have extra gifts. We are so blessed by your generosity and by all those in your community. Thank you so much for all you do. God bless everyone who helped make the S.A.N.T.A. Project for Christmas 2010 a huge success! Happy New Year to you!!" -- Kathy Bradley, Director,
Estill Springs Family Resource Center
"Dear A Lasting World: Thank you for the generous donation of books to Reading Camp. Our program also touches underprivileged Appalachian children, building up their literacy skills and confidence so they can excel in school and in life. We want to empower them to live productive, happy lives, and impact their world for good.....God bless you for the work your organization is doing to change Appalachia and preserve its rich environment - one child at a time. I hope we come in contact again as both our organizations work to transform children's lives and to give them the world. Warmest regards." -- Allison Duvall, Executive Director,
Reading Camp
