Wen Marcec, Founder
Jerry Marcec, Treasurer
Wen and Jerry Marcec have been happily married for almost 50 years and are the proud parents of four grown children and two grandsons. They own a turtle named Sherlock. They are the Founder and Treasurer of A Lasting World Inc., respectively, and they were also the Co-Facilitators of Camp H.O.P.E. They are now Co-Founders of the Empower an Engineer Program. They currently reside just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and can frequently be found hiking in the parks there.
Jerry is a retired Research Chemist with a strong background in all the sciences, as well as having expertise in environmental sustainability and internal auditing. He is an avid runner and he volunteers in many areas at his local church.
Wen is a retired preschool teacher with experience in curriculum planning. She enjoys writing, and she and a friend self-published a children's book about the environment. She is a certified Tennessee Naturalist and is a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. She also volunteers at her local church and at the Atlanta Humane Society.
Both Jerry and Wen love to read, love to travel, both are nature enthusiasts and both have a deep love of and concern for caring for the precious planet we live on. They are most enthusiastic to bring a love of nature to children.
